The highly anticipated launch of the new Royal Enfield Himalayan is set to take place at the RE Motoverse on November 24. This event is the perfect platform for the company to announce the prices of its new adventure tourer, which has undergone a complete overhaul in comparison to its predecessor.
The New Royal Enfield Himalayan
The new Royal Enfield Himalayan replaces the Himalayan 411 in the company’s lineup. It features a newly developed twin-spar frame and a larger capacity motor. The new Sherpa 450 engine is liquid-cooled, a first for Royal Enfield, and boasts a host of lightweight components. This not only makes it a more premium motorcycle but also enhances its performance.
The new Himalayan comes with significant technological upgrades, including a digital console with smartphone connectivity for turn-by-turn navigation, call/SMS alerts, and alerts for engine and battery health. It is also the first Royal Enfield bike to get Ride-by-Wire (RbW) with two riding modes – Eco and Performance, as well as LED lighting across the motorcycle.
Price Expectations and Variants
It is expected that the new Royal Enfield Himalayan will be priced from ₹2.60 lakh onwards, marking a substantial price hike from its predecessor. The 2024 Royal Enfield Himalayan will be sold in three variants – Base, Pass, and Summit, each with its unique color schemes. The on-road prices in most cities are expected to hover around the ₹3 lakh mark for all variants.
The new Royal Enfield Himalayan is a significant departure from the traditional offerings and is considered the brand’s most advanced motorcycle yet. With its enhanced features and performance, it is set to make a mark in the adventure touring segment.
